Officers are hunting a thief who snatched a woman’s handbag from her arm as she walked down an Aberdeen street.
Police Scotland has appealed for information following the theft which happened on Back Hilton Road at its junction with Ashgrove Road on Friday night.
PC Allan Sheridan said the 55-year-old victim had been left “shaken” by the attack – and urged anyone who could help to come forward.
He said officers were keen to trace a man seen in the area at the time.
He was aged between 18 and 25, between 5ft 5 and 5ft 8 and slim build with light coloured hair.
The incident happened between 7.45pm and 8.15pm and the handbag and its contents were valued at more than £100.
PC Sheridan said: “The woman has been left shaken following this incident where her handbag was pulled from her arm.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact police.”
