The incident took place outside Mambos on the town’s Queen Street at 3.20am yesterday. The 47-year-old victim remains in a serious condition in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The suspect is described as male, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and with a slim build. He is thought to be in his mid to late 20s and has short cropped brown hair at the back and the sides. He was wearing a grey fitted T-shirt, blue jeans with cargo style pockets at the side of the legs and white trainers. Police closed off Queen Street for 12 hours yesterday as they made inquiries about the attack. Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
