A construction worker has been taken to hospital after falling down a 19ft bore hole on an Aberdeenshire site.
Two fire appliances from Banchory and a line rescue specialist team from North Anderson Drive, Aberdeen, were called to the incident in Drumoak at 3:40pm.
The Robertson Group site, on Sunnyside Farm, is located beside Drumoak Primary School and the village’s church.
They used line rescue equipment to rescue the 25-year-old man from the hole.
He is said to have suffered leg injuries as a result of the fall.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “One person fell down a shaft at a building site. He fell down a bore hole.
“He’s fallen down a shaft 19ft deep and 3ft in diameter. It was a fair old drop.”
A police spokesman said: “We had a call from the ambulance by the Drumoak Primary School, a male had fallen down a hole, it was a pure accident.
An ambulance spokeswoman said they had an ambulance and a rapid response unit on scene.
