Police were called to the B9170 just south of Oldmeldrum after the black Vauxhall Corsa swerved off the road near Hoodle’s Playbarn. The accident happened around 12.30pm and paramedics also attended the scene. A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said the woman who was driving the car had been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a precaution. “Her injuries were not serious,” she said. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said the child in the car also escaped without any serious injury.
