Residents of two north-east towns will get the chance to view long-awaited plans for leisure facilities later this month.
Plans for a sport and community centre at Macduff and a larger campus, including an all-weather pitch, swimming pool and athletics track, at Banff have been in the pipeline for years.
They were approved by councillors earlier this year, and now two public meetings will be held to give residents the chance to view artist impressions of them.
The facilities will replace the existing facilities at Canal Park in Banff.
Supermarket giant Tesco hope to develop the park, home of Deveronside FC, but the local authority must secure a Common Good Order from the Court of Session to allow the firm to build on common good land.
A condition of the sale, which belongs to the people of Banff and Macduff, was that the facilities must be replaced with new ones before construction can go ahead.
Aberdeenshire Council is now returning to the Court of Session to request the necessary order.
The meetings will be held on Tuesday, August 12 from 6pm-7.30pm at the Harvest Centre, in Banff, and Wednesday, August 20 from 7.30pm-9pm at Macduff Primary.
Each event will include an hour of presentations followed by a question and answer session.
There will be a further half hour to view the designs and council officials will be on hand to discuss the plans.
A spokeswoman for the local authority stressed the meetings were to provide information to residents and are not part of the formal consultation process.
