The northbound carriageway remains closed at Bridge of Muchalls following the single vehicle accident just after 4.30am. Two fire crews from Stonehaven and one from Altens attended the scene. A fire service spokeswoman said that firefighters used cutting gear to release one person from a car. Police declined to give details of any injuries. It is understood that investigators are still at the scene. Diversions are in place for northbound traffic using the B979 at Netherly.
