The Aboyne Highland Games’ Saturday night marquee was called off due to the deluge at the last minute due to the “adverse weather conditions”. The organisers of the games sent out a warning through social media last night which said: “Please do not come out”. The Aboyne event, which takes place in the beer and food tent, draws in large crowds annually, and this year was to have a DJ set from Logan Muir. The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) had a flood alert for Aberdeen city and shire enforced throughout Saturday.
