The worst of the flooding in Moray and Aberdeenshire appears to have subsided as most roads re-opened this morning.
Only the A980 in Alford is still closed due to flooding in Aberdeenshire – it is closed between the A944 junction in Alford and the Main Road junction in Lumphanan.
However, multiple Highlands roads still remain closed – with flooding still causing issues, particularly in the west.
See below for a breakdown of the roads still worst affected by flooding in the Highlands:
– A832 in Gairloch closed between the B8021 junction and the Braeside Road junction, because of flooding. It is also closed again in Ardessie
– Flooding and a convoy system is in place on the A835 between the A893 Shore Street junction in Ullapool and the A832 junction in Braemore.
– The A836 closed between the Ardgayhill junction in Ardgay and the A837 junction in Culrain, because of flooding.
– The A838 is closed between the School Road junction in Durness and the A836 junction near Tongue, because of flooding. Police directing traffic.
