Police identify body of man found near Aberdeen Harbour

Police have identified a man whose body was found in the sea close to Aberdeen Harbour.

James Buchan, 70, from the Newburgh area, was found on Wednesday around 7.25pm.

Police said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Aberdeen RNLI recovered the body after the crew of an offshore supply vessel had raised the alarm.
