Temporary traffic restrictions have been put in place in Aberdeen to accommodate two major events in the city-centre this weekend.
Aberdeen City Council has closed Union Terrace and Diamond Place while the International Street Market and the Celebrate Aberdeen festival take place.
The closures will last until 10pm on Sunday.
There is also no parking allowed on Union Terrace or the slip road between Rosemount Viaduct and Union Terrace, while the right-turn ban for buses from Skene Street into Rosemount Viaduct has been suspended.
Rosemount Viaduct from its junction at Skene Street to Blackfriars Street will also be closed from 7.30am until 7pm tomorrow .
An alternative route will be available via Union Street, Broad Street, Upperkirkgate, Schoolhill and Rosemount Viaduct.
The council’s convener of enterprise, strategic planning and infrastructure, councillor Barney Crockett, said people need to plan ahead if they intend on visiting the city-centre.
“I would also encourage anyone coming into the city centre to use public transport if they can, and remind car users that parking is available in Marischal College car park at weekends,” he said.
