The 25ft vessel ran into trouble at around 1.30pm near Portknockie. A distress flare was set off from the yacht, following which a nearby speed boat responded and towed the vessel into Portknockie Harbour. One man was said to be aboard the boat when it broke down. The Buckie lifeboat and a rescue crew were deployed, but were not required to assist.
