An old favourite is poised to make a welcome return to His Majesty’s Theatre.
By popular demand, Mackie’s Ice Cream will once again play a starring role during intervals.
The award-winning company, based at Westertown Farm, in Aberdeenshire, is being brought back by special demand after audiences had their say.
Aberdeen Performing Arts front of house manager Nicola Eddie, said: “We encourage theatre-goers to let us know what they think of our venues through our feedback forms and there has been quite a clamour for the return of Mackie’s Ice Cream – so here it is.”
Stuart Common, of Mackie’s, said: “We are delighted to be coming home to HMT after a 15-year absence, we know it’s what audiences want and it’s certainly something we have been working towards for a long time now.
“Our late Chairman, Maitland Mackie, used to ask me ‘why can I not buy a Mackie’s when I go to the theatre?’, so he would have been thrilled to see our ice cream being sold at HMT again.”
It’s been gone for 15 years… But Mackie’s Ice Cream is coming back to His Majesty’s Theatre!
