The 29-year-old was thrown from the silver Honda on King’s Gate near the junction with Forest Road yesterday. It is understood he hit a lamp post and careered into the pavement. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 6am. Mr Small was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but later died. The road was closed for more than four hours while collision investigators worked at the scene.
