Three fire crews battled a fire in a flat in Aberdeen tonight.
The blaze broke out in the kitchen of a flat on George Street, between Craigie Street and Maberly Street, at around 9.05pm.
This section of the road was closed for around half an hour whilst the fire teams from Aberdeen Central and North Anderson Drive brought it under control.
Nobody was hurt during the fire, which was contained by 9.15pm using one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “There were no rescues”.
The damage caused by the fire is not yet known.
A police spokesman said: “There was a fire there, we were contacted by the fire and rescue service at 9.10pm, they just wanted us to help with traffic control because they were blocking the road.
“By 9.30pm they were totally finished.”
An ambulance spokeswoman said they were not called to the incident.
