Missing north-east pensioner found

A pensioner who was reported missing from her home in Aberdeen has been found in Inverness.

Mary Ryan had not been seen since Monday at 12.30pm, where she was spotted at the Guild Street bus station.

The 78-year-old – a mother-of-four – was believed to have then boarded a bus to Aberdeenshire or Moray, possibly Elgin.

Police Scotland has now confirmed that Ms Ryan has been traced in the Inverness area.

Officers have thanked the public for their assistance.
