Whitehills residents may soon be able to access their local post office seven days a week if a move from the village’s Seafield Street is completed.
The Post Office is proposing to move from its current location to create a modern open-plan local-style branch with extended opening hours at a newsagent on Loch Street.
Should the move go ahead, the branch would open for 55 hours more than it is currently in the village. It would operate from 6am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 8pm on Sunday.
The proposals are currently out for public consultation until October 3. A Post Office spokeswoman said that a decision on the move would be made in around four weeks of the consultation coming to a close.
