Three cars were damaged last night after they were involved in a collision with a motorcycle on an Aberdeenshire road.
The male biker is understood to have broken both ankles when he was thrown from his red Aprilia bike on the B977 near a property called Easter Culfossie between Echt and Dunecht.
As a result, three other vehicles – a black Saab 95, a grey Volvo 580 and a black Saab 93 – were damaged.
None of the car drivers were injured in the accident.
The biker was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he is being treated for serious injuries to both ankles.
A stretch of the road remained closed for several hours while police worked into the night to clear the scene.
