A woman has been fined for allowing a brothel to be run from her Aberdeen home.
Ngoclan Nguyen had been renting a flat in Broomhill Road between June 19-29 this year.
During that time she, along with another, used the property as a base to prostitute themselves.
Yesterday the 25-year-old appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted committing the offence.
Fiscal depute Samia Rasheed said police had received information that the flat was being used as a brothel.
As a result a search warrant was granted and officers raided the address on June 29.
When they arrived they found Nguyen there along with various items commonly linked to the sex trade, a number of mobile phones, laptops and bundles of cash stashed underneath a mattress.
Mrs Rasheed said that about £3,200 was found and when questioned Nguyen admitted she had been using the flat for prostitution.
The court heard she had been advertising her services online.
Representing Nguyen, whose address was given as 308 Farm Street, Birmingham, solicitor David Sutherland said his client had come to Aberdeen purely with the intention of making money.
He said she now lived in England and was working legitimately as a part-time cleaner.
Sheriff Annella Cowan fined Nguyen £900 and ordered that the £3,200 recovered during the raid be confiscated from her.
