Restaurant evacuated after kitchen fire

A fire has broken out at a restaurant in Aberdeen.

Frankie and Benny’s at Beach Boulevard was evacuated after the blaze broke out at around 8.30am.

Staff and customers had to leave the premises.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Fire Service spokesman said: “We were called out to Frank and Benny’s to a fire which had started in one of the fryers.

“It was out by the time we arrived but there was an evacuation.”
