A teenage biker has been taken to hospital with “non life-threatening injuries” after a crash just yards from where Alex Salmond was campaigning.
Members of the First Minister’s security team and Yes campaigners rushed to the aid of the 18-year-old woman, who collided with a black Hyundai Santa Fe jeep in Dyce at about 11.50am.
The motorbike reportedly somersaulted in the air as a result of the collision.
The accident happened at the junction of Berrywell Gardens and Victoria Street.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene, and the woman has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The road is now clear, a police spokesman said.
