Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw anything unusual
Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a large quantity of fuel from a diesel tank at Balmedie Quarry in Aberdeenshire.
The theft occurred between 1pm on Sunday and 5.30am yesterday.
A large number of hand tools and some heavy duty electrical cable were also taken, leading police to say a vehicle would have been used to transport the stolen property away.
In total, the theft amounts to a low five-figure sum.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
