Flowers have been left at the foot of a city centre statue in memory of the popular Aberdeen piper William Daniel.
Mr Daniel, 41, died at home on Wednesday September 3.
He is best known to locals and tourists for playing the bagpipes next to the Edward VII statue on Union Street. He was a regular fixture, piping each day in rain, hail or shine.
Flowers and notes have been left around the base of the statue, along with a string of Saltire flags.
One message from a fan said: “I didn’t know you that well but I enjoyed listening to you every night.
“Listening to you play made me so happy. I loved your bagpiping.”
Another note said: “Union Terrace will miss you William, rest in peace. We will always remember you and never be forgotten.”
