With the new store comes new opportunities not just for a morning coffee, but for the 18 new jobs the store has created.
What are the opening hours of the new Starbucks outlet?
Residents of Peterhead can now enjoy a Starbucks coffee with friends in their town whereas before they would have had to travel to Aberdeen for the nearest store.
The store will be open Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 9pm, Saturday from 7am to 9pm and Sunday 8am to 9pm.
Colin Clark, store manager for Starbucks Peterhead, said: “EG Group have been looking to set up a store in Peterhead for while now, since 2017.
“The demand for a Starbucks store in Peterhead is really high, with our social media pages gaining 2,000 new likes and we haven’t even opened yet.”
The store was due to open in the summer but because of on-site delays, the opening date was pushed back to the autumn.
Mr Clark added: “I was keen to give as many opportunities to the locals as I could, being a local myself.
“That was one of my key priorities when hiring staff. We have a really strong team in place for opening day with 17 new positions created which I think is great in the current climate.
“Competition is good in the local area however, there isn’t a drive-thru coffee shop so I think it adds a new experience to the town.”
