Police in Aberdeen have cordoned off a section of a residential street due to an ongoing incident.

Ashvale Place, located in the heart of the Granite City next to major roads such as Union Street, has been closed off.
The nature of the incident is not known at present but police are maintaining a presence in the area.
One local resident said that there was a disturbance in the street at around 3am on Sunday morning, involving a number of people.
Cars and residents are not being allowed to move out of the area. Pictures from the scene show an unmarked van at the scene.
A car can be seen within the cordon with its boot open.
It is understood that the police cordon has been up since at least 5.30am.
Pedestrians are being urged to avoid the area.
A police spokeswoman confirmed: “We are investigating a report of a sexual assault against a woman, which happened around 3.25am today (Sunday 24 October 2021) at Ashvale Place, Aberdeen.”
Detective inspector Martyn Thomson said: “This is a concerning incident, with the victim left understandably shaken. Enquiries are ongoing and we are working hard to trace the man responsible.”
“Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 763 of 24 October 2021, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
