A housing developer is pushing ahead with plans to treble the size of a north-east village.
Stewart Milne Homes was granted permission to build 45 homes at Crathes in June.
The proposals had initially been rejected by Aberdeenshire Council’s Marr area committee but the decision was overturned by the Scottish Government following an appeal.
A report on the ruling will go before the next meeting of the committee on Tuesday.
Members will also be asked to approve a planning application for a temporary sales cabin and parking spaces to be used during the construction process.
It is understood the cabin would only be required if the site’s show home was not completed in time.
Crathes, Drumoak and Durris Community Council, which was opposed to the overall proposals, originally objected to the application due to its impact on the landscaping at the housing development.
However, speaking on Wednesday, David Morrish, vice-chairman of the group, said he no longer regarded the cabin as an issue.
He said: “As far as I’m aware the show home should be up by November.”
A spokesman for Stewart Milne Homes said it was “unlikely” the cabin would be used.
Councillors will also be updated on the planning reporter’s decision to reject a claim for expenses by the housing developer. Stewart Milne Homes had argued that it was left out of pocket as a result of the committee’s decision to reject the proposal.
However, the reporter ruled that the council had not acted in an unreasonable manner
