The Crown, which stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith, was filmed at various locations across Aberdeenshire during the summer. The period drama, about the Royal family in the 20th century, will debut on the streaming service later this year. Today’s trailer, unveiled to delegates at the CES 2016 tech conference in Las Vegas, features Foy and Smith as Queen Elizabeth and Price Philip. Filming took place around Balmoral and Cruden Bay during July. Slains Castle can clearly be seen in the trailer, along with Cruden Bay beach.
