A man killed in a car crash on a north east road has been named by police.
Malcolm Stephen, 52, from the Inverallochy area, died when the gold Renault Scenic he was in collided with a green Vauxhall Astra on Sunday evening just after 7pm.
The accident happened on the B9033 Fraserburgh to St Combes road.
One person was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and two others were taken to hospital by road ambulance, following the incident.
A police spokesman said: “Police are looking to trace a vehicle that turned out of the Inverallochy junction just prior to the collision as the person or people within the vehicle may be a key witness to the incident and have information that could assist with the inquiry.”
