A police spokesman said the accident happened at Desswood Place at about 3.10pm. And a fire service spokesman said two city appliances were sent to the accident and the crews used hydraulic cutting gear to free the man. An ambulance service spokeswoman said two people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary suffering from minor injuries. She was unable to say whether the casualties were male or female. The road was closed while emergency services were working at the scene.
