A free programme of concerts in Aberdeen gets underway this evening.
Rush Hour concerts at the Cowdray Hall have been designed to offer some respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.
One of the UK’s most prominent string ensembles, the Edinburgh Quartet, will get the programme underway with a performance at 5.30pm.
The programme has been organised off the back of the hall’s popular Lunchbreak Series.
Deirdre Grant, head of public programmes at Aberdeen Art Gallery, said: “The Lunchbreak series has a regular weekly audience of more than 200 people. We introduced early evening concerts to our programme last season and had a very good response.
“We are pleased to be able to build on this success and launch the series with the internationally regarded Edinburgh Quartet, who are firm favourites with Aberdeen audiences.”
