Flood warnings remains in place throughout north east

Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire remains on flood alert following a day of misery on north east roads and in coastal towns.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) flood alerts are in place for Keith, Turriff, and towns between Fraserburgh and Rosehearty.
The alerts indicate that flooding is expected and “immediate action” is required.
Alerts were also in place for Milltown, and towns between Portsoy and Macduff, but are no longer in force.
Stonehaven’s sea walls were yesterday battered by furious waves which flooded the town’s beachfront, and sparked the evacuation of elderly residents from a sheltered housing scheme.
However, a police spokeswoman today said: “There aren’t any coastal issues at the minute, but there are a number of flood warnings still in place.”
The Met Office has warned that “driving conditions will remain hazardous” with periods of heavy rain still expected across the north of Scotland.
However, the rain is expected to ease throughout the day.
