Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Aberdeen city centre at the weekend.
The incident took place at around 10.30pm on Saturday, outside Cafe Bardot on Justice Mill Lane.
A 22-year-old man was assaulted and was later taken to hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.
Police are now attempting to trace a man in his late twenties in connection with the incident.
He is described as being around 5ft 8in, stocky, wearing a grey t-shirt with blue jeans and black trainers with short gelled brown hair.
The man also has a band tattoo around his left bicep.
Constable Gavin Fleming, of the Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit, said: “Officers are carrying out inquiries into this incident and are viewing CCTV footage in an effort to gather information on the person responsible.
“There were a few people in the area at the time of the assault and I urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or know of anyone who matches the description of the male to contact the police.”
