A baby has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a two vehicle crash on an Aberdeenshire road.

The accident took place on the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road, near its junction with the B977 Balmedie to Belhelvie road just after 9.15pm.

An ambulance spokesman said: “We got that call at 9.30pm, it was a two vehicle road accident and we’ve taken in a young child with minor injuries.”

A police spokesman described it as a “minor incident”.

The crash did not cause any road closures or traffic problems.
