Pupils from schools across the Banffshire coast celebrated the last day of term with a rugby festival at Duff House in Banff.
The children from Banff, Crudie, King Edward, Macduff, Monquhitter, Portsoy and Whitehills schools made up 16 touch rugby teams for the event.
The day marked the end of a five-week scheme to introduce the sport to youngsters.
Portsoy emerged victorious after a day of matches played across four pitches at the north-east landmark, with Whitehills and Portsoy’s second team tying for second spot.
Active schools officer Gavin Harris said: “Some great skills were on show by all the players during the tournament, with some potential future Scotland rugby stars displaying their newly learned skills.
“Also, Banff Rugby Club is currently recruiting for new members of their junior section.
“All players aged six and over are welcome to come along to coaching sessions held on Sundays from 1pm to 2.30pm at Duff House rugby grounds.”
