Job-seeking students and graduates are being invited to meet potential employers face-to-face at a major north-east careers fair.
More than 60 companies will attend the annual Robert Gordon University (RGU) event including oil and gas firms Shell and BP, technology giants Apple, smaller niche services companies and not-for-profit organisation Cornerstone.
Staff from the university’s careers and employability centre will also be present to offer advice and guidance.
Christine Buchanan, dean of students at RGU, said: “Students, graduates and postgraduates will have the opportunity to meet informally with businesses to discuss graduate opportunities as well as placements, vacation, part-time and voluntary work.
“Although the key target audience for the fair is our graduating final year students and recent graduates, the event is of great value to any student interested in their future career.
“It is never too early to begin a dialogue with employers to find out about future graduate opportunities and what is expected by employers when reviewing CVs and application forms.”
The event will be held at RGU: Sport, at the Garthdee campus, on Thursday October 30, from 11am to 3pm.
Students and recent graduates of other universities are also welcome to attend.
