The attraction at Quarry Road announced this morning that its usual guided tours of Kinnaird Head lighthouse and cafe would be suspended today. A spokesman said: “From a health and safety perspective we unfortunately have no option.” Gary Campbell, the museum’s business manager, described the weather as “wild.” Last year, the museum measured a record wind speed of just under 91mph at the top of the lighthouse. Bosses are currently holding a photography competition asking locals to capture images of stormy scenes.
