Emergency services have been called to Aberdeen International Airport after a leak was reported on a commercial flight from the Netherlands.
Three fire crews are on scene at Aberdeen airport to deal with the spillage, described as a “technical issue”.
The KLM flight from Amsterdam reported the issue as it flew in to land at around 11am – prompting an emergency response.
Two fire crews from North Anderson Drive and an incident support unit from Dyce were called to the scene at 11am.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “There’s a small leak of substance and the fire service is currently on standby.”
They could not say where on the aircraft the leak originated from, or what was leaking.
An airport spokeswoman said nobody had been endangered by the incident.
She added: “We have an on-going incident at the airport, we were made aware of a technical incident on board an aircraft.
“We were made aware when it arrived but mainly it’s the fire and rescue dealing with it at this stage, along with associated partners like the police. There’s no people at risk and the airport is continuing as normal.”
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland were made aware of a technical issue involving an aircraft which landed safely at Aberdeen airport shortly after 11.15am today, we are assisting personnel.”
An ambulance spokeswoman said they were on standby at the scene.
The 11am KLM flight to Amsterdam has been delayed.
