They may not be your typical pin up models, but truckers from companies across the north-east have bared their shapely bodies for a raunchy charity calendar photo shoot.
Men from 12 truck companies, one for every month of the year, posed alongside their vehicles wearing nothing but boots, a skirt and a smile for the Tasty Truckers 2015 calendar.
The calendar was organised by Rhona Angus, manager of Ashgrove Services in Huntly, who also knitted the woollen skirts that the brave truck drivers modelled in the photo shoot.
She said: “I work at the filling station in Huntly so I’ve had every opportunity to ask the drivers to take part in the calendar.
“We decided to raise funds for the Aberdeen Children’s Hospital as there’s been a few local people who’s children have been treated there, so we wanted to try and give a little back to them.
“Every month of the year is sponsored by a different company, so the printing costs for the 2,000 calendars has been covered already, which means all profits will go straight to the hospital.
“We knitted eight skirts for the boys to choose from for the photos, with some of my more colourful designs being more popular choices than others.
“We’ve had a lot of fun doing the calendar and we’ll hopefully manage to raise a lot of cash for the children’s hospital along the way.”
Ms Angus added that she wasn’t aware if the manly models were true Scotsmen under their knitted skirts as she “didn’t ask.”
The calendars cost £5 each and can be bought from Ashgrove Services and other local shops in Huntly.
