At around 3pm, police responded to reports of a accident involving a man and a woman at Loch Callater, just south of Braemar. The car veered off a track and ended up on its side. Emergency services, including the Braemar Mountain Rescue team, arrived on scene to assist the pair. However, the RAF search and rescue helicopter had to be dispatched to transport the injured pair to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. It is not yet known the full extent of the pair’s injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening.
