Creative men, women and children will flock to Deeside this weekend to hone their artistic sides.
Visitors from across Scotland have descended on the The Braemar Creative Arts Festival since Wednesday with the event to peak this weekend.
The programme has included lessons in music, needle-felting, wood carving, painting and drama with literary workshops to inspire inquiring minds.
Families have also been enjoying hunting for the hundreds of colourful knitted birds, ranging from owls and flamingos, that have been hidden around the village.
Today, there will be an arts and craft market in St Margaret’s Church complete with musical entertainment and knitted-bird auction.
Judges will also announce the winner of the Great Braemar Bake-Off, which this year challenged participants to make the best cupcake, with prizes awarded for the best decorated and the tastiest creation.
Tonight many of the tutors – including Orkney duo Fiona Driver and Graham Simpson – will show off their talents during a ceilidh in the village hall.
Marilyn Baker, one of the organisers, said she was delighted that the festival was going well.
She said: “There’s plenty of people about and lots of different classes going on, people are coming out raving about them.
“We’ve had more people coming from outside the village, the news has spread – we’ve had people from Perth, Blairgowrie, Pitlochry, Ballater, Aboyne and Aberdeen, and they’ve all had great things to say.
“There’s a great buzz around the village.”
There will be classes running again today, including step dancing, oil painting, pot making and ukulele for youngsters, as well as a traditional music workshop.
Tonight’s ceilidh will start at 8pm with guests asked to bring their own refreshments, as there is no bar.
Tomorrow, there will be morning classes followed by an open mic session and brunch at The Bothy.
