The north-east will be Holding Back The Years next December when Simpy Red rides its Fairground into town.
The Eighties icons will play the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) on December 6, 2015, as part of their 30th anniversary World Tour.
It will be the first time Mick Hucknall and co have played in the Granite City for 23 years.
“I like an anniversary, and this is a big one,” said Mick.
“It feels like the right time.”
There is expected to be strong demand for the tickets when they go on sale from 8am on Friday.
Since bursting on to the music scene in 1985, the band have sold more than 60 million albums worldwide, which include timeless classics like Holding Back The Years, If You Don’t Know Me By Now, The Right Thing and Fairground.
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s managing director said: “It is great to welcome back Simply Red to the Venue as part of their Big Love 30th Anniversary Tour.
“Having last played here in January 1991, we are sure that fans will be delighted with this news.”
