An Aberdeenshire man has been named locally as the victim of a horrific car crash which happened just outside Arbroath on Friday.
Newlywed Colin Taylor was involved in the head-on collision at around 3.15pm.
The 59-year-old’s wife, Julie, had been sitting in the back seat of the blue Citroen Picasso and sustained multiple fractures to her legs and arms.
The couple, from Stonehaven, had married at the town’s golf club on September 5.
Mr Taylor had lived most of his life in Stonehaven, where he worked for the Post Office and as a bar manager before he set up a joinery and plumbing business.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said formal identification is expected this afternoon.
