Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Aberdeen’s Northfield area.
A 16-year-old female was approached on Byron Terrace by a man who tried to grab her bag at around 7.45pm on Saturday, October 25.
He was startled by a member of the public and ran off empty handed towards Springhill Road.
The man assisted the female who was shaken but not injured.
The suspect is described as approximately 6ft or 6ft 1in, aged between 17 and 19 and of average build. He was wearing a plain black hooded top and black Adidas tracksuit bottoms.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information, specifically the male who assisted the young woman following the incident, to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
