Three more teenagers have been charged in connection with an alleged fire in the derelict Broadford Works in Aberdeen.
A 13-year-old was initially charged after police uncovered footage of an alleged incident on-line.
Posted the day after a blaze at the site, the video shows youths entering the abandoned building, before cutting to footage of a fire allegedly starting inside.
Yesterday, police confirmed that three more 13-year-old boys have been charged following the incident on October 4.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “We are now in the process of reporting all four males to the Youth Justice Management Unit within the police, who will decide what happens next.
“Police were made aware of the video of the fire on a social media site which showed the youths setting a fire in the Broadford Works and investigations were carried out at the time with positive lines of inquiry being followed.
“Police Scotland would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.”
Broadford Works – a former textile factory on Maberly Street – has been targeted by vandals several times since it closed in 2002.
