Clothes belonging to missing Fraserburgh man, Shaun Ritchie, have reportedly been recovered from the area where police are searching for him.
Police Scotland have said they will not speculate on whether any evidence has in fact been recovered.
However, at around 3.30pm during the search yesterday an officer transferred a large box containing clear plastic bags from the police command vehicle into a squad car and drove it to Fraserburgh Police Station.
The reports remain unconfirmed.
Mr Ritchie, 20, has not been seen since the early hours of Saturday morning.
Darkness finally called a halt to search efforts around 4.30pm yesterday and the Police Scotland marine and dive unit left the scene before 5pm.
Police and local people who have offered to help will enter their fifth day of the search today.
Police refuse to speculate on reports of clothing being found
