A teenager has suffered a head injury following an alleged assault at an Aberdeenshire school.
Police have confirmed a 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment after an incident at a school in the Peterhead area on February 10.
The extent of his head injury is not yet known.
A 14-year-old will now be reported to the Youth Management Unit in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said: “On February 10, a 14-year-old boy was treated in hospital for a head injury following an alleged assault within a school in the Peterhead area.
“A 14-year-old boy will be subject of a report to the Youth Justice Management Unit in connection with the incident.”
Aberdeenshire Council refused to comment.
