A number of well known authors will host workshops at libraries in Aberdeen as part of Book Week Scotland.
The writers come from a variety of different forms, from sports writing, to crime and graphic novels.
On Monday at 6:30pm in the central library sports, broadcaster and author Richard Gordon will give a talk discussing his career, which has included hosting 2500 sports programmes. He has recently published two books, Glory in Gothenburgh about Aberdeen’s European Cup Winners Cup victory of 1983 and Scotland 74: A World Cup Story.
Glasgow based comic artist William Goldsmith will deliver a workshop aimed at the basics of writing and illustrating graphic novels. His workshop at 10.30am on Saturday, November 29, also in the central library, is aimed more at a young audience.
Crime novelist Shona MacLean will discuss her published works at 2:30pm on the Saturday at the same venue.. Her works include the Alexander Seaton novels based in 17th century Aberdeen.
