Football fans have pledged to applaud a north-east schoolboy at an upcoming match after he died following an accident on the A90.
Bobby Douglas was a fervent fan of Aberdeen FC, and could often be seen at Pittodrie cheering on his favourite team.
The 11-year-old was killed when he was run over by a van on the A90 near Newtonhill on Friday.
A group of Dons supporters clubs now plan to stand up and applaud in the 11th minute of the game against Hamilton Academical on December 6 in tribute the youngster.
A spokesman for Aberdeen FC said the football club would welcome the gesture.
He added: “As far as I understand the wee man was a big Aberdeen fan, so the club would obviously be very supportive of any move the fans put forward to pay tribute.”
