A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on a rural Aberdeenshire road.
The B993 from Inverurie to Keithhall was closed for more than two hours following the accident, which happened at the junction with the B977 just after 6pm.
The biker was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, however his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed the casualty was in his “late teens”.
The entire B993 had to close while officers worked at the scene to remove the vehicles and clear debris from the tarmac.
The windscreen of the car involved – a red Audi – had been smashed on the driver’s side, while the bonnet had also been crushed.
Skid marks could be seen on the damp road where the car came to settle on the crossroads.
