Countdown begins for Aberdeen’s Christmas tree switch-on

There’s just little over an hour to go until Aberdeen’s official Christmas tree will be lit up.

The city’s Lord Provost will help switch on the giant tree, which is an annual gift from the people of Stavanger, one of Aberdeen’s twin cities.

George Adam will be joined by the deputy mayor of Stavanger to switch on the lights at the Castlegate at 7pm.
