The Northern, Bon Accord and Bon Accord clubs have all announced that they will close and amalgamate to become Aberdeen Links Golf Club. As part of the plan, the trio want to find a new home – preferably at the site of the former Broadhill Bar. They hope to eventually secure a lease for the Kings Links Golf Course, claiming the facility has gone “downhill” in recent years. The group behind the amalgamation have already raised the possibility of taking over the lease with Sport Aberdeen, who currently run the course. However, Sport Aberdeen has said it wants to work alongside the clubs rather than them take the facility on.
